HAKONE, JAPAN – Hotel Okura will open its first Japanese resort, Okura Resort Hakone Gora, in 2029.
The 58-room property eliminates shared bathing by offering a private outdoor hot spring in every room, using authentic Owakudani thermal water. Designed by Gwenael Nicolas, the resort follows a “Forest Hideaway” concept.
Additional features include teppanyaki dining and Hotel Okura’s signature service, positioning the resort as a new benchmark for privacy-focused luxury in Hakone.
