China Airlines has expanded its network in Japan by launching a new daily flight service between Taichung and Okinawa. This addition boosts the airline’s connectivity, raising the total number of weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. The new route is serviced by an Airbus A321neo, with flight CI310 departing Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and arriving in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return flight, CI311, departs Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and lands in Taichung at 2:10 p.m.
The commitment to increased connectivity between the two regions will be further strengthened with the introduction of a second daily service, set to begin on August 13. The additional service will see flight CI312 leave Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and reach Okinawa by 6:00 p.m. The return journey, flight CI313, will depart from Okinawa at 7:00 p.m., landing in Taichung at 7:30 p.m.
This expansion marks a significant enhancement in travel options for both business and leisure passengers traveling between Taiwan and Japan. With the new services, China Airlines will operate approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week, complementing existing routes from Taipei and Kaohsiung.
By enhancing its flight offerings, China Airlines aims to strengthen ties between Taiwan and Japan, providing passengers with more flexibility and convenience. The increase in flight frequency is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel between the two countries, supporting both tourism and business exchanges.
