Taiwan’s high school students have distinguished themselves on the world stage, securing a total of seven gold medals at two prominent international science competitions. At the International Biology Olympiad held in Lithuania, the Taiwanese team achieved a remarkable feat by winning gold medals across the board, with all four participants placing at the top among more than 300 students from 78 different countries.
In another display of academic prowess, Taiwanese students also performed exceptionally well at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan. The team clinched three gold medals and one silver, which placed Taiwan third globally in the chemistry competition. The Ministry of Education in Taiwan noted that these achievements on the international stage highlight the nation’s commitment to fostering scientific talent.
